Rehab at Passmores House

Get help

Recovery isn’t just about stopping, it’s about building a life you want to stay well for. Our residential rehabilitation programme gives you the time, space and support to do exactly that.

At Passmores House, we work alongside you from day one, listening to what you need and adapting your support as you go.

What is rehab?

Residential rehabilitation means staying with us full-time while you work through a structured therapeutic programme. Being away from your usual environment, the people, places and pressures that are tied up with your drug or alcohol use, can make a real difference.

It gives you space to understand what’s been driving your use, to learn new ways of coping, and to start building the foundations for long-term recovery.

What your programme looks like

Your programme usually runs for 12 weeks, though we can work with you to find what fits. It combines:

One-to-one sessions

With your dedicated keyworker throughout your stay.

Group work

Relapse prevention, self-awareness, mood management, relationships.

Complementary therapies

Supporting your mental and physical wellbeing.

Life skills

Budgeting, cooking and daily routines.

Education & employment

When you’re ready to think about what comes next.

Built around you

More one-to-one or more group work… we find the right balance for you.

I was so scared, but Passmores made me feel so safe and welcome. My confidence has grown and I’m starting to believe in myself again.

The team around you

You’ll have a dedicated keyworker throughout your time with us. Our wider team includes BACP-accredited counsellors, therapists, nurses, peer mentors and support workers, all working together to support your recovery

Where you’ll be living

Passmores House is set in peaceful parkland surroundings in Harlow, Essex. You’ll have your own room, shared communal spaces, a dining room with fresh meals cooked on site every day, and access to gardens and outdoor areas.

It’s a calm environment, somewhere you can focus fully on your recovery without the distractions of everyday life.

What happens towards the end of rehab?

As your programme comes to an end, we start planning your discharge well in advance. You’ll leave with a clear plan and connections to local services, so you’re not stepping back into everyday life without support.

For some people who are making good progress but need a bit more time before they’re ready to go home, Kings Acre, our quieter independent living space within the Passmores grounds, can offer a gentle step down, with ongoing support while you practise daily life skills in a more independent setting.

It is a lovely environment for recovery. The staff were all very caring and understanding toward me.
