We are pleased to announce that Via has partnered with Mind Body Balance Academy (MBBA), based in Northwich, to offer innovative fitness and wellbeing experiences to people accessing our Cheshire West & Chester service hubs through the Capital Card.

Via’s Capital Card is an award-winning reward card scheme which empowers and rewards people for engaging in recovery-focused activities. Using a simple earn-and-spend model, people earn points through attending appointments, participating in groups, and working towards their recovery goals. They can then exchange their points for positive, community-based activities that support their wellbeing.

Mind Body Balance Academy has joined the scheme as a Capital Card spend partner, offering people the opportunity to redeem their points for group padel sessions, as well as yoga, Pilates and holistic wellbeing pathway sessions.

Capital Card holders will be able to access:

  • Group padel sessions – for up to 8 people (cost covered by Capital Card points)
  • Yoga, Pilates, and structured wellbeing pathway sessions – (cost covered by Capital Card points), where MBBA staff guide the group through exercise, healthy eating, journalling and mindset work in a supportive group setting

Founded by Carrie Ann Stevens, MBBA is a UK-based holistic wellbeing organisation pioneering a community-centred approach to substance use recovery and mental health support. Their model integrates structured strength training, boxing, functional fitness, mindfulness practices, meditation, journalling and peer connection to create psychologically safe spaces where individuals can rebuild resilience in both body and mind.

Carrie Ann Stevens, Founder of Mind Body Balance Academy, said:

“When someone has experienced substance use disorder or trauma, the body often holds stress long after the crisis has passed. We create spaces where people can build strength physically while learning how to feel safe in their own nervous systems again. This partnership allows us to bring that work into the heart of recovery services where it belongs.”

Megan Hallahan, Senior Capital Card Officer at Via, said:

“We’re delighted to partner with Mind Body Balance Academy because it brings together structured physical wellbeing and community connection in a way that directly supports sustained recovery. For people who use our services, this means access to positive, confidence-building activities that reduce isolation and strengthen recovery capital. It reflects our belief that social value and wellbeing should sit at the heart of service delivery.”
