Who we are
Passmores House provides a safe and peaceful residential rehabilitation and detox community just outside of London, in Essex. We support individuals aged 18 and over in building happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives free from drug or alcohol use. Our expert-led approach, combined with a focus on co-production, ensures that every step of the recovery journey is guided by professional insight and shaped by the voices of those we support.
Our approach
At Passmores House, recovery is about more than detox and rehab.
Our programme combines medical expertise with emotional and social support, helping people to rebuild confidence, routine and a sense of belonging. Every person’s journey is different, so we tailor our support to individual goals, whatever that might look like.
What makes us different
Passmores House is set in a peaceful, Grade II listed building surrounded by gardens and a pond. A calm, restorative space just outside London.
Our team includes nurses, a consultant psychiatrist and experienced recovery workers who deliver 24/7 care and specialist support. We have particular expertise in working with people who have complex or multiple needs, including physical or mental health conditions alongside substance use.
This combination of clinical expertise, compassion and co-production makes Passmores House a unique place to recover and rebuild.

Passmores House is located just outside of London, near the centre of Harlow in Essex.
Offering convenient access by both car and public transport, while being nestled within a tranquil park, Passmores House is surrounded by its own walled gardens, pond, and scenic footpaths. This peaceful environment provides an ideal setting to support recovery and promote well-being.

All support is delivered in line with national clinical guidelines, and our staff are trained in safeguarding, confidentiality and trauma-informed approaches.
